Feb 21, 2017- Nepathya’s next concert destination is the western city of Butwal where they will be performing at Kalika School premises on Saturday, February 25.
The folk rock band is known for sharing folklores and folk cultures through their music.
“We have been connected to Butwal through our songs and past concert tours” said Nepathya front man Amrit Gurung, “The venue of our Butwal concert (Kalika School) makes me nostalgic as we had earlier in 2003 performed here as a part of our Sundar Shanta Nepal tour during the conflict era.
Community run Kalika School currently provides education to 3000 students, and remains popular among students and guardians of the locality.
In addition to Sundar Shanta Nepal, Nepathya had also stopped by Butwal during multiple occasions during their Education for Peace (Shanti ko Lagi Sikchya) concert tour in the past.
The upcoming ‘Music for Unity’ show is being organised by Butwal based ‘Yes Nepal’. “The show will benefit Abhiyan Nepal child home,” said one of the organisers Santosh Tandan.
The concert will feature Nepathya’s hit list along with the recently released new numbers.
Amrit will be accompanied by Dhruba Lama on drums, Suraj Thapa on keyboards, Subin Shakya on bass, Neeraj Gurung on Guitars and Shanti Rayamajhi on madal.
